How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

With your employer (for employees)

Your employer or HR administrator can access your employment records, attendance, leave, payroll: and performance data through the Kashia platform. This is necessary to provide HR and payroll services.

With clients (for talent on Kashia Hire)

When you apply for or are matched with a role, relevant profile information (skills, experience, portfolio) is shared with the hiring company. Sensitive personal information (bank details: ID documents) is not shared with clients.

With the other party (for Kashia Vault)

Transaction terms, milestone status: and dispute-related communications are visible to both parties in an escrow transaction. Financial details (bank accounts) are not shared between parties.

With payment processors

Bank account details and transaction information are shared with our licensed payment partners to process disbursements and escrow releases.

With identity verification providers

Documents submitted for identity verification are processed by our verification partners.

With legal authorities

When required by law, regulation, legal process: or governmental request.

With service providers

Third-party companies that help us operate our platform (hosting, analytics, email delivery: customer support tools). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

In a business transfer

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

Payroll and financial data are treated with the highest level of security given their sensitive nature.

Data Retention

Account data: Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted within 90 days of account closure: except where retention is required by law.
Employee records: Retained for the duration of employment plus the period required by Nigerian labor law (minimum 6 years after employment ends).
Payroll records: Retained for the minimum period required by Nigerian tax law and regulations (minimum 6 years).
Escrow transaction records: Retained for 7 years after transaction completion for financial compliance.
Talent profiles: Retained as long as you remain in the Kashia talent pool. You can request removal at any time.

Kashia operates primarily in Nigeria and across Africa. If your data is transferred outside your country of residence, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place: including contractual protections consistent with applicable data protection laws.

Kashia is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a notice on our platform. Your continued use of Kashia after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
